Hi Richards family, My name is Len Newton and I have spend a number of years on Tanna and I was the leader of the teams who constructed the classrooms at Lenafa. I am very interested in your work in the college even though I am leading a team on Paama Island building a structure for the church over there now.
Guys, I hope that you can answer some questions for me as I have lost contact with Ps Yarwell. I was speaking to him by phone last week and he gave me his e-mail which I thought was estyarwell@gmail.com…..but this bounces back to me, Could you possibly give me his correct e-mail please?
I also need to contact Principal Shim George of Lenakel college as I may have a science teacher for him. Could you get his e-mail or failing that, his phone number please?
As you would know very well by now, communication in Vanuatu is an ever present frustartion and sometimes we have to go to extraordinary lengths to make it work, so your help would be greatly appreciated if you can do it.
By the way, I was on Tanna when the whole ‘lake Isiwi’ miracle happened, if you are interested in my experiences and thoughts on the aftermath, I would be happy to share them.
Blessing to you all with your exciting work.
Len Newton
Hi Len, good to meet you. I hope we cross paths here in Vanuatu in the near future, I would love to chat about Lake Isiwi and other things (I have seen the video).
Yes, I know all about communication frustrations. You are close with the email address, but it begins with a ‘p’ not an ‘e’, and in ‘pst’ for pastor.
I am not yet on Tanna (will be in about two or three weeks) and when I get there I can help more with contacting the principal of Lenakel College. Or you could ask Ps Yarwell, he is good with replying to emails. He checks every couple of days.
Thanks Tom, that it what I needed and now I can talk with Pst.Yarwell. Tom, I will be in Sydney next week and spending Friday evening with Kevin Murray, don’t suppose you will be in Sydney then? It would be great to catch up.
In the mean time, any questions that you would like answered about Tanna, I should be able to help.
Len
Hi Len, unfortunately I won’t be in Sydney as we are now in Port Vila. If we catch up any time soon it will most likely be in Vanuatu. My phone number is on the home page of this blog and I think my email address is on the ‘partner us’ page.
